I Was Surprised!

I decided to check out the link which Jim Fisher provided for a list of Mitt Romney’s “less-than-fully-truthful” statements. I mean, there might be something there, even given that the source, Rachel Maddow, is a left-winger who would not naturally be in favor of the Republican candidate for POTUS ever.

What I found was really surprising, however. The link below is for her 30th edition of this count she has been keeping of Mitt’s fibs.

It is a long, long list. If even half of her references — I have checked out some but by no means all — are not just a matter of interpretation then ol’ Mitt has a problem with the truth.

In many cases what he is claiming is not a little off; it is the opposite of true.

If you grew up Republican like I did, in a state with a great senatorial tradition with people like Everett McKinley Dirksen, it is more than a little disappointing.

If you plan to just vote for Mitt because he is the Republican without even thinking about it, then I would advise you to not look at Maddow’s list, not this one nor the other 29 lists. It might make your vote a lot harder to cast.

Chronicling Mitt’s Mendacity, Vol. XXX.

Blessings anyway!
